yeh seen that a few days ago, those nasty zombies. as for the gun its a nice custom piece but i dont feel it has a massive real world usage. it might be useful for some bodygaurds or black ops stuff but i doubt anyone actually uses this. there are other better and probably cheaper weapons. the mp7 would spring to mind. its nice but i wouldnt go for it except to look different and stand outfrom the crowd

Think the difference with this over the likes of an mp7 or mp5 is it looks like its 5.56 where the mp5 etc are normally 9mm so this would have more stopping power and more different types of ammuntion available on the market. I like the look of it for cqb and close protection jobs.

mp7 uses a 4.6x30 cartridge designed to be small but powerful and importantly armour piercing. this is an m4 modded for a job its not designed for. yes it works but still

was going to say the same, but couldn't remember the cartridge :P

biggest drawback for me is that it wouldn't be in common enough useage to pass of as normal military for SF people, whereas an MP7 or MP5 etc could be found in goodness knows how many militaries world wide.

I do however like it ... something very sleek looking about it. too bad it's the colour of vomit.

the stocks quite interesting but handguard looks a little minimalistic. wonder if it heats up much, the handguard doesn't look like it has much hand protection

    this is something similar

"Cheap" and MP7 don't go in the same sentence, i'd say $11k is a tad steep.
The advantage with this is you swap the ammunition and job done. It's integrally suppressed so it's been re done from the ground up as it were. When it comes to suppressed armalite type platforms, AAC have little to learn.

The round he's using at the start, the "blackout" round was originally designed to be fired from the M4 anyway.

Yes the MP7 is a sexy little piece of kit, but effective range is also an issue here.

i think the way to put is this what would you rather have. personally id rather have an mp7 over the honey badger. i can only see this being handy in some sort of black ops undercover scenario or bodygaurd situation where you need to conceal and suppress the weapon and need heavy firepower.

In which case i would take the honey badger. A rifle that can fire a winchester round gets my vote.

Funny enough I was talking with a few of the guys at SG1 about this today. I believe my exact words were "looks like an SD6 f***ed an M4". Personally think it looks quite neat, I like the front end he's using in th video although I've seen another model which seems to be more common. (I'll take mine in tan Snakedoc!)

I could add to the debate about it's role/usefulness but really I don't have enough knowledge of the subject matter to give a valuable contribution.

mp7 4.6x30 armour piercing round, maybe less range but just as powerful and a much smaller weapon

an MP7 isn't really any smaller looking when you fit a full size suppressor, you always think theyre smaller than they are. Theyre also a lot more unwieldy to conceal with the long style mag in, makes it a good foot in width!

I'd say definitely not. The blackout rounds are pretty nasty. There have been a few reports about the MP7's stopping ability.
But then, I've only handled the MP7.

I've seen this discussed on some MIL forums, I'm on. Alot of the guys who have used the MP7 have all said the same thing. Most of the people being shot at by it aren't wearing full military grade body armour.

I have to agree SD with knowing which is more powerful. Yes a 4.6mm round may go through you, but a .300 Win will not only go through you but leave a huge hole where it's been.

4.6mm (MP7 round) has a muzzle energy of approximately 525 J, which would be comparable to 9x19 rounds.

    4.6mm (MP7) 26 grain AP round gives 725m/s (447J)
    .300 Win 165 grain round gives 990m/s (5278 J)

Which is more powerful when the .300 Win is 6.34 times heavier and is travelling 265m/s faster and 11.8 times the kinetic energy ? :)

It's the same principle to which does more damage?

    a 6mm BB travelling at 300fps

    OR

    a .68" Paintball travelling at 300fps
