The other day i decided to by one of these. Basically what it does is stop you mag from accidentally falling out during a game. Which has happened to me several times. And if you have ever lost a mag it hurts. It is about a $40 investment gone. I ordered this on Jan. 1, 2009 and it arrived Jan. 5, 2009. So it was very good shipping. It arrived in a small padded envelope. The Mag Guard itself was professionaly packaged inside the envelope. I have only had it for a few hours, but so far it seems very very sturdy. To keep your mag in place all you have to do is turn your pistol upside down, then stretch the elastic over your pistol grip(can fit any pistol). Then place mag in mag well and close velcro tabs snuggly. I then proceded to press the mag release button and pull my mag out of the mag well a little bit so it hung loose in the Mag Guard. Then I shook up and down as quick and hard as I could. But the mag did not come out at all. Here are some pics.

Know I know some of you are thinking "what about reloading?" "Wont it waste time?". Yes it slows you down a little, but not much at all. And this is airsoft anyway, If you get shot you are just out for 10 minutes. Would you rather loose a $40 mag? It only takes 3 simple steps to do a mag change.
1. open velcro tabs and remove old mag
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg306/RockerDude219/DSC_0062.jpg
2. replace old mag with new mag

3. Close velcro tabs

It is as simple as 1, 2, 3! It only take about 3.5 to 4 seconds! And it can save you $40!

Good job - handy for the WEi high capas - they have such a big mag release button i cant actually holster my pistol with a mag in it as it keeps popping out.

A Serpa, Safariland or similar kydex holster usually negates the need for these since mag loss is caused more often than not by the mag release being pressed up against your leg while prone or going for cover.
I've never lost a mag since moving to Kydex style holsters.
